How to get from CDG Airport to Paris Town Centre:

Train
The quickest and cheapest way is the regional train RER with stops at major railroad stations and Métro hubs in Paris. From the RER platforms at Charles de Gaulle Airport, you can reach the Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel, Luxembourg, and other stations of RER Line B.After you've retrieved your bags and gone through customs, look for a "Gare" sign with a train symbol. (CDG has two RER stations: one for Terminals 1 and 3, and the other at Terminal 2.The terminals are connected by a free shuttle train As of late May, 2010, the RER fare between CDG and Paris was €8,40 for adults and €5,90 for children (4-10yrs)Trains normally depart every 10 to 20 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnights

Coach
Les Cars Air France connect Terminals 1 and 2 with destinations on the Right and Left Bank: Line 2 goes to the Place Charles de Gaulle (Arc de Triomphe) and Porte Maillot (in the La Defense skyscraper district). Buses normally run every 15 minutes from 5:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. The fare is €15 one-way or €24 roundtrip, with children 2-11 paying €7,50 each way. Trip time: 35-60 minutes, depending on traffic. Line 4 serves the Gare de Lyon and the Gare Montparnasse. Coaches normally depart every 30 minutes from 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 or 9:30 p.m., and the fare is €16.50 one-way or €27 roundtrip (€8 each way for children from 2-11). Trip time: 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic.

Taxi
Expect to spend €40 to €50--or possibly even more--for a taxi to the city center, depending on the time of day and the location of your hotel. In addition to the metered fare, you'll be charged a small amount for each piece of luggage. Allow 45 minutes to an hour for the trip, and tip the driver 10 percent of the fare.
