Having a great time visiting our northerly neighbours! The view of St Peter Port as you arrive on the ferry is so picturesque - the wonderful Georgian and Regency houses look like they are clinging to the hillside, and the cobbled streets are steeped in history. Time hasn't stood still here, but it moves to a slower beat than in Jersey! I'm planning to take a day trip by boat to one of the neighbouring islands, but I can't decide between Herm with its gorgeous beach, or Sark, to enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride followed by a lobster lunch...
