We’ve decided to stay in Rennes, which gives us easy access to so many of the courses, including the fabulous parkland course of La Freslonniere and the links course at Pleneuf Val Andre. Next time, we might venture further afield and try some of the courses in Normandy or the Loire Valley.

Ideally situated on Mount Canisy just a few minutes from Deauville, this course allows for magnificent views both out to sea and over the surrounding countryside. Deceptively easy, this course provides many a surprise. Wide fairways sound ideal but beware of the bunkers. Accommodation available at Hotel du Golf Barriere de Deauville.
