Dinan With Bontour
The medieval town of Dinan is one of our favourite places for a short break. Only 40 minutes drive from St Malo, yet the atmosphere is so different. We love the way the winding cobbled streets lead from the River Rance up to the old ramparts, with amazing view of the port. Next time, we’re going to take a leisurely river cruise back to St Malo. We’re really excited about the Fete des Remparts, the biannual medieval festival, taking place again in 2008! In fact, we’d better book soon as it is always so popular!

Well known amongst Channel Islanders, this pleasant hotel is well located on the River Rance at the old Jerzual Harbour. Dinan, one of the most picturesque towns in Brittany with its historic medieval half timber houses, is only
